Sweet Treats

It is always nice to have a few sweet treats here and there, I know that I love too! So I am going to share with you some of my favourite treats :)

I have a big secret love for anything chocolate, so this Moist Devil's Food Cake looks absolutley divine to me! This would great for any special occasion like a birthday, or a school party or just any old party :) This is a simple but tasty recipe that is good for anyone.

This Molten Chocolate Cake really gets my taste buds tingling! Doesn't it just look so delicious with the melted chocolate centre ... Mmmmm :) This recipe looks great.

These Halloween dipped marshmallow pops look absolutley lovely as well, and even though it says Halloween you can make them for any special occasion as well. In fact I think I might make them for school class one day as a treat :) The recipe is easy and tasty to make.

Look how tasty these Rocky Road Squares look! They are great for when you have a friend round and want something to do :) Here is the recipe that I am positive you will love!

Don't these Peanut Butter and Chocolate Cookie Cups just look as though they would melt in your mouth! I know that I am a huge fan of Reese's Peanut Butter Cups and I am pretty sure these will taste just as good, if anything ... better! They are full of sweetness and flavour too. The recipe is simple and fun, so it is easy to make.

So every so often, give yourself a treat and have some fun while doing it!

5 ways to relax and let go

For me the school term has only just started and I know it can become very stressful, it is for me already! I like to know that I can relax and let go by trying out these 5 simple ideas.

Firstly why don't you go up to the local library and rent out a good old girly book. Then find a quiet space away from your busy normal day life. Maybe you want to find a nice comfortable blanket and lay outside in the sun to read that new book.

You could also take a nice warm bath and add a hint of flavour. You might even like to light some candles around the bath to add to the relaxing atmosphere. Maybe even read your new book while relaxing in it as well.

Another option is taking a lovely stroll through a park near your house or just walking around the block. It is always nice taking in the scenery and soaking up the sun on a nice day. You could even stop at a cute little ice cream parlor and enjoy the coldness of a tasty ice cream.

Why not treat yourself and go out for lunch with some of your close friends at a lovely hotel. Enjoy not having to worry about what food is in your cupboards and what you can make. All you need to do is order whatever you want off the menu. What about a Devenshire Tea?

Try a bit of Yoga. Miranda Kerr does yoga every morning and it is a lovely way to relax and forget about what is going on in the world around you. It is also exercise and is a way to keep you fit, while keeping you relaxed at the same time.

So if you ever feel like relaxing and letting go, try all these simple and fun things and I guarentee you will be relaxed in no time.

Wall Decor

Recently I have been trying to find some lovely paintings or prints for my bedroom walls, as they are blank at the moment, but haven't been able to find anything. So today I thought, why not paint my own?

For my first set of paintings I decided to take inspiration from the Chanel No.5 perfume bottle. I bought two plain white medium sized thick canvases. I drew on the outline of the Chanel No.5 perfume bottle and then painted it. I decided to paint one light pink and the other light blue as these colours both match my duvet cover. Although it may not be as good as proper paintings, I don't think it turned out too badly.

For my second set of paintings I took inspiration from the zigzag shape and used it in a different way on three different canvases. I bought three, white, small, thin, canvases. I ruled on one zigzag in a V shape on the first one and then painted the top half light blue, the bottom half light pink and the zigzag light lime green. These colours don't clash and match my duvet cover as well. For the second one I did three zigzags across the canvase and painted them hot pink. I then painted the backgroud light blue. For the third one I did one fat zigzag down the middle and painted it bright blue. Then painted the background lime green. I think they all are quite cute and suit my room perfectly.

This is a lovely way to save some money and update your room. The good thing about art is that it doesn't have to be perfect, some of the best artworks can come from people making mistakes. So why not paint something for your own room :)

Gossiping with Lattes

Hi Guys, I am introducing my newest series of posts called "Gossiping with Lattes". This is where we chat about the latest topic and share our thoughts. It will be lots of fun, so leave your comments and lets get down to business!

Todays topic is what colour/colours do you usually use on your nails when relaxing having a manicure or a pedicure?
I know for me it is usually some sort of pink colour, or a pinky red. Pink is just my colour! :)

So leave your thoughts and comments and have a great gossip session :)

A weekend away in Sydney, Australia

Over the past four days, I have been walking around the Sydney shopping malls, relaxing with spa treatments and dining at amazing restaurants. My mum and I went over to Sydney to have our anual winter shopping trip! It was wonderful and we visited lots of different places.

The day we arrived we had some time to spare so we went for a little walk along the streets and found ourselves stopping for a divine snack at the Max Kenner Chocolate Bar. I had the most delicious italian hot chocolate ( with milk chocolate).

That night we dressed up and went out for dinner at the hotel restaurant. I ordered a lovely pink lemonade, that tasted wonderful.

The next day we walked and walked and walked around the department store David Jones. While shopping for my little sister I saw a Ralph Lauren for kids! It was just so adorable. I bought so many gorgeous clothes for my wardrobe this day! I had the most amazing time.

After a full day of hard work my mum and I treated ourselves to relaxing manicure and pedicure. I chose a lovely light pink colour for my fingers and a rich dark pink for my toes :)

The next day, of course, we went shopping again! While walking along the streets, we came across a gorgeous cupcake shop, called The Cupcake Bakery. We didn't buy any cupcakes but just looking in the window was amazing in itself!

We also visited many stores such as One Teaspoon, Prada, Sass and Bide and the Official One Direction Store!

We roamed around Myers that afternoon and stopped for a late lunch at the gorgeous cafe - La Rose Cafe - in the middle of the department store.

That afternoon mum organised for both of us to have a relaxing back massage at our Hotel's (the Amora Hotel) spa. It was so nice and worthwhile!

It was so sad leaving Sydney the next day but overall we had a successful shopping trip and it was lovely spending some quality time with my mum!

Eager for exercise

Not many people in the world get out of bed and say " Yay time to do some exercise ! " because honestly exercise is not always fun. But there are lots of ways to enjoy exercising and look forward to it everytime you decide you need it :)

Why not go for a bike ride on a sunny day. This is good exercise and lots of fun.

If you need to go for a run but really don't want to, ring up a friend and see if she wants to come too.

Go for a swim at the local pool or if you have a pool at home go for a swim there, this is relaxing and great exercise.

Why not go rollerblading. This is so much fun and still counts as exercising.

Do some dancing, this will make you break a sweat but is lots of fun!

So next time you don't want to exercise, become motivated and find a fun way to do it!

Sleeping Beauty

I think I am sleepy already. These gorgeous Peter Alexander Pyjamas just make me want to snuggle up in bed with a good book and fall into a deep sleep. This is a beautiful range of sleepwear that anyone can wear, I even have pyjamas from there myself.

Pretty Pastels

I have always loved wearing pastels, they give off a wonderful vibe and make anyone look amazing. In spring they compliment the lovely season and even in winter you can get away with a few pastel peices here and there. So brighten up your day and go purchase something pastel!

Easter Baskets

Happy Easter to everyone! I hope you all got lots of chocolate and spoiled yourselves rotten :)
What I would love to do this Easter is to make an easter basket for someone special and fill it with lots of yummy treats. Maybe one for your little sister or brother?
I am going to show you how to make a cute little easter basket like this one :)

This is an extremely cute and easy-to-make basket that you can fill with treats.

Materials:
*Scissors or craft knife
*Milk or Juice carton
*Stapler
*Pastel construction paper
*Glue or double sided tape
*Hole punch
*Pipe cleaners
*Googly eyes

Instructions

  1. With scissors or a craft knife (adults only), remove one panel of the carton (on the same side as the open spout) and save it to make the handle. Staple the open spout closed.
  2. Cover the sides of the carton with one color of construction paper, using glue or double-sided tape to affix. Trim to fit.
  3. Punch a hole in the center of the the spout ridge and insert pipe cleaners for whiskers. Glue on a pair of large googly eyes.
  4. For ears, cut out large paper ear shapes from the same color you used to cover the carton. Cut pink shapes a size smaller and glue them in place in the middle of the ears. Staple the ears to the top of the bunny base so they stand up.
  5. For a handle, trim the cut carton side, cover it with paper, and staple it to the basket.

Have fun making your special Easter Basket

A weekend away at Omaha Beach

This Easter, my family and I took a little trip up to my bach at Omaha Beach. It was so lovely being able to lie on the beach with nothing to worry about and just having some time to relax and let go.

I was fortunate enough to visit the Matakana Market while I was there and it was lovely.

It was great being able to wear my new seafolly sun hat at the beach.

Going out for a yummy lunch at the Kickback Cafe was nice.

One lunch my friend and I decided to make a picnic, it was really worth it :)

I really enjoyed biking around on this cruiser bike.
